New Event Series Alert: Market Days at Aparaaditehas

Aparaaditehas is launching a new event series called 'Aparaaditehas Market Days.' Throughout the year, we will host a variety of themed markets created in collaboration with the factory’s own creative community. The goal of this new series is to bring visitors a carefully curated selection of second-hand goods, local art, and design providing a platform for small-scale makers while promoting Tartu’s market culture and sustainable living.

For years, Aparaaditehas has been known for its popular markets and fairs, such as the Müürilill Flea Market, the Ajuokse Alternative Art Market, the Underground Christmas Market and the Tartu Illustration Festival Fair. However, our visitors have often expressed a wish for these kinds of events to happen more frequently. While the classics are here to stay, we are adding (at least) four new markets to the calendar this year!

Each 'Market Day' is born in collaboration with different residents and partners of Aparaaditehas, focusing on a specific theme. The series will feature vintage clothing and accessories, home decor and furniture, books, children’s items and original art. In addition, visitors can look forward to culinary and music surprises, performers and engaging workshops.

The 2026 Aparaaditehas Market Days schedule:

• 13.06 – Biblioteek / Fahrenheit 451° Bookroom / TYPA
Books, notebooks, stationery and everything related to reading culture.

• 18.07 – Studio Shop Karud ja Pojad                     Vintage kids' clothes and items, toys, decor, dollhouse miniatures and original art.

• 8.08 – SAIKO                               Vintage clothing, accessories, and everything that catches the eye.

• 17 .10 – NaguMuiste                          Carefully selected interior goods, furniture, and exciting vintage finds.

Stay tuned, as more Market Days will be added throughout the year!

The markets will mostly take place in the Hall of Love (Armastuse saal) and, if the weather is nice, in the Pocket Park (Taskupark). However, they may occasionally spread through the factory’s corridors and even down into the basement.

You can find more information about the June 13th market HERE  and join the Facebook event HERE.

Registration for the upcoming markets will open closer to each event; we will post updates on our website and Aparaaditehas social media channels.
