Throughout the year, we will host a variety of themed markets created in collaboration with the factory’s own creative community. The goal of this new series is to bring visitors a carefully curated selection of second-hand goods, local art, and design providing a platform for small-scale makers while promoting Tartu’s market culture and sustainable living.

For the first time in Estonia: the mysterious balearic-downtempo-ambient-synth pop duo DOMENIQUE DUMONT! This long-anonymous collective comes from Latvia but usually performs abroad, including at major festivals and arenas. Open call for ESC Volunteer 2026

Aparaaditehas is looking for a long-term ESC volunteer to work for 10 - 12 months .

Aparaaditehas can offer an interesting insight into the inner workings of a creative industries hub. No two days will be the same, and volunteer tasks will vary from helping out at the office, getting to know our tenants or working on our homepage. The volunteer will be provided training and instructions before starting a new task. The volunteer will gain new knowledge and get to practice their skills in a variety of different fields.

The first and only application round for the Aparaaditehas Culture Platform for 2026 is now open. The Aparaaditehas Culture Platform will begin its seventh season in 2026, inviting young creative people to implement fresh, bold and unique cultural projects. Over the six years of its operation, 36 very diverse events and creative projects have been implemented within the framework of the cultural platform, and nearly 100 young creators have gained momentum. Creative cooperation with many of them has continued even after the end of their projects.

On January 17, Aparaaditehas (Kastani St 42, Tartu) will host a street dance, queer, and ballroom community subculture event — the Vogue Ball competition “All We Have Is Now” Kiki Ball. Supported by Aparaaditehas’ open cultural platform, the project is aimed at members of the queer community and street dance practitioners of all ages, and a wider audience interested in fashion, dance, beauty, and the arts.
