Kolmapäeval, 29.novembril kell 19.00 avatakse Trükimuuseumi Rõdugaleriis Tartu Kõrgema Kunstikooli nahadisaini osakonna näitus “Traditsioone hoides- intarsiast voolini“. Eksponeeritavad tööd on valminud ajavahemikus 2014-2017 õppejõudude Maila Käose, Karolin Kallase ja Tõnu Ojaperve juhendamisel.

Tartu Kõrgema Kunstikooli nahadisaini osakonna tudengid alustavad oma erialaõpinguid erinevaid nahakaunistustehnikaid tundma õppides. Traditsioonide hoidmine on meie osakonnale oluline, seetõttu anname tudengitele õpinguid alustades erinevaid õppeülesandeid, kus saavad kokku nende isiklik looming ja tehnoloogiline teostus. Antud näitusel on eksponeeritud nahadisaini osakonna tudengite esimesel kursusel valminud praktilised tööd. Intarsiatehnikas karbid ja voolitehnikas külalisraamatud. Iga õppeülesanne on kujundatud lähtuvalt etteantud teemast, arvestades tehnika iseärasusi. Näitusel on eksponeeritus ka töö kujunemisprotsess, mis laseb külalistel kahe nahakaunistustehnika telgitagustesse piiluda.

Näitus on avatud kuni 30. detsembrini, galerii K-P 12 - 18.00

KEEPING TRADITIONS
From Intarsia to Embossing

On Wednesday the 29th of November at 7 pm the Tartu Art School Department of Leather Design opens its exhibition Keeping Traditions – From Intarsia to Embossing in the Balcony Gallery. The works on display have been made between 2014 to 2017 under the tutelage of the lecturers Maila Käos, Karolin Kallas and Tõnu Ojaperv.

The students at the Tartu Art School Department of Leather Design start their studies by learning various leather design techniques. Keeping traditions is important to our department which is why we initially give the students various tasks that combine their personal creativity with technological execution. This exhibition displays the practical works made during the freshman year of the students in the Department of Leather Design: intarsia boxes and embossed guest books. Every task has been shaped according to the prescribed topic and takes into account the characteristics of the technique. The exhibition also showcases the working process that allows the visitors to peek behind the scenes of the two leather design techniques.

The exhibition is open until the 30th of December, gallery times are from Wednesday to Sunday 12 pm - 6 pm.
