On the last weekend of August, the Kastani–Filosoofi district will once again come alive as the 11th edition of the Aparaaditehas Festival takes over the area for three days of discovering hidden corners, backstage spaces and unexpected experiences throughout the cultural factory and the surrounding quarter.

Aparaaditehas Festival Markets 2026

On Saturday, August 29, 2026, from 12:00 to 17:00, several unique markets and fairs will take place as part of the Aparaaditehas Festival. We welcome vendors selling second-hand goods, artists, designers, printmakers, and even children looking to give their toys or creative works a new home.

MÜÜRILILLE FLEA MARKET

The Müürilille Flea Market welcomes vendors selling second-hand goods, vintage clothing, pre-loved household items, and other interesting treasures.

Time: August 29, 2026, 12:00–17:00
Participation fee: €15

AJUOKSE ALTERNATIVE ART MARKET

The Ajuokse Alternative Art Market brings together independent artists, illustrators, zine makers, craftspeople, and other creative practitioners.

Time: August 29, 2026, 12:00–17:00
Location: Outdoor area next to Ajuokse Avangaar, Kastani 42, Tartu

The organisers provide:

  • a table and/or clothing rack

  • promotion through Ajuokse communication channels

Participation fee: €30

PRESSFEST PRINTMAKING FAIR

The PRESSFEST Printmaking Fair takes place in the courtyard of the former Samelin Shoe Factory and brings together artists working primarily in printmaking and graphic arts.

The aim of the fair is to introduce visitors to different printmaking techniques and to provide artists with a platform to showcase and sell their work.

We welcome vendors selling:

  • prints and graphic art (relief printing, intaglio printing, screen printing, lithography, and more)

  • handmade and hand-bound books

KARUD JA POJAD FAMILY YARD

Located in Taskupark, the Karud ja Pojad Family Yard is dedicated to children and families.

Activities include:

  • a children's flea market (toys, books, handmade creations, and more)

  • children's cafés

  • creative workshops and activity areas

VINYL MARKET

A new vinyl record shop and bar will soon be opening at Aparaaditehas. They'll also be setting up a small vinyl market along the Kastani Street sidewalk.
