WORKSHOP // Scrap night vol.7: QUEERZINE

Thank you so much for all the playfulness and silliness you brought last time, seeing everybody take home a cute handmade little friend was truly heartwarming

The next event will take place on Tuesday, 17th of June, at the usual time 5:30 PM. Once again we will be making zines, but this time there is a theme: queerness!


We consider the community aspect of our creative gatherings extremely important, and we want all of you to be sure that you are welcomed, seen and heard here. That’s why we are very excited to cooperate with Peemoti Keskus for the pride month edition of scrap night!  


This Tuesday we will invite you to use the collage materials to make zines exploring the topics connected with queerness, whatever that means to you (and whether or not you belong to the LGBTQ+ community yourself). It can be a polyamorous romance comic, an essay on trans identity, a series of lesbian love poems, a manual of allyship or a book of questions. This is the space to celebrate you and your creativity!
 
The events are our voluntary project, carried out by TYPA’s ESC volunteer Asia and education manager Karoliina. The aim of this is to reduce the leftover scrap waste we have at TYPA.
 
As always, there will be a symbolic fee of  1 euro , however, this time all the donations will go to support Peemoti Keskus
