WORKSHOP // Scrap Night #26: Mini-prints

For our next trick we will go as DIY as we possibly can and make miniature prints using different relief methods and a press that we made ourselves! Come to be a part of it on Sunday 16th of August.

NB! This Scrap Night will take place in Rõdugalerii!

Our idea for this event started with our cooperation with the Open Press Project, whose exhibition - the Open Print Exchange, a collection of little pictures sent by print artists from all over the world - we are currently hosting in Rõdugalerii. All of the artworks were made using a 3d-printed printing press, according to the project founder’s instructions. We will use the same model (printed in the amazing Paranduskelder!) and have some fun with various relief printing methods and materials - carving in tetra packs, layering textiles or… embroidery!

If you’d like, the artwork that you make can stay in the gallery and add to the current exhibition.
The events are our voluntary project, carried out by TYPA’s education manager Karoliina, social media manager Heldin, residency coordinator Asia and unemployee of the month Kärt. The aim of this is to reduce the leftover scrap waste we have at TYPA.

Due to the rising prices of snacks there will be a symbolic fee of 1 euro so everybody could have a sweet treat to keep up the mood.
