WORKSHOP // School Break Workshops at TYPA

The first school break of the academic year is here again, and where better to spend this free time than at a museum! TYPA invites all children and youth interested in art and crafts to join our school break workshops. You can try hand papermaking, cardboard printing, and bookbinding craft!

School Break Workshop Schedule:

• Tuesday, October 27: Handmade Paper Workshop 12:00 – 13:30

  Children aged 6+

• Wednesday, October 28: Cardboard Printing Workshop 12:00 – 14:30

  Children aged 9+

  Price: €12

• Thursday, October 29: Notebook Workshop 12:00 – 13:30

  Children aged 9+

  Price: €7

In the week's first session—Handmade Papermaking—we'll learn how to make paper ourselves. What can paper actually be made from, and how? Each participant will create several unique sheets of handmade paper using recycled materials and decorate them according to their own vision.

On Wednesday, you can join a special Cardboard Printing Workshop—an exclusive offer not normally on TYPA's standard workshop menu! We'll build a printing plate out of cut or torn pieces of cardboard to print an exciting artwork.

The final session of the break is the Notebook Workshop, serving as an introduction to bookbinding and letterpress printing as we make a simple notebook. Everyone will bind a notebook using an easy technique and print an illustration on it using our museum's oldest printing press.
