Summer break children's camp at TYPA

During the summer break, TYPA invites all children aged 9-13 to an art camp!
The camp takes place on July 22-24 from 12:00 to 14:30, and on all three days, we will learn something new and interesting about print or paper art.

On Wednesday, July 22nd, we will start the camp with an introductory TYPA tour.
We will look at what paper can be made from and how, and get to know our letterpresses, which can also be used to print postcards, among other things. After a short break, we will continue by making a simple notebook, where each child can bind their own notebook and print a picture on its cover. On Thursday, July 23rd, we will jump into the world of analogue photography and use the cyanotype, or blueprint, technique invented in the 19th century. We will do this by making a small book out of plants gathered from the local surroundings around TYPA.

On Friday, July 24th, we will focus more on paper, learning how to make paper and creating collages from old book illustrations and magazines.

The camp is in Estonian.
