SPORT // Run through Aparaaditehas
A new race in the Estonian running calendar! As part of the Aparaaditehas Festival, you have an exclusive opportunity to run a lap around the cultural factory in a race setting. The course passes through corridors, staircases, studio rooms, the basement, and even a nightclub. The distance isn’t long—about 500 m in total—but it requires maximum focus and composure at high speeds. Of course, participants can also take the course at a more relaxed pace to enjoy the hidden corners of Aparaaditehas that are normally off-limits.
Organization:
- Gathering and start take place in the Aparaaditehas courtyard, Kolm Tilli terrace.
- Registration is on-site only; pre-registration is not available.
- The race is run in interval starts, with participants sent off at one-minute intervals. Organizers reserve the right to adjust intervals if needed. Start is open from 17:00 to 18:30.
- Timing is based on the SI-chip system (each participant receives a finger-attached SI chip at registration to record start and finish). - Participants may also use their own SI chip if available.
- Participation is at your own risk.
- Corridors, passageways, and stairs are narrow and remain open to regular visitors, so extreme caution is required.
Prizes:
- Prizes are provided by Aparaaditehas and Kolm Tilli Pizzeria (including awards for the best youth runners!).
- Since the race uses interval starts, the ranking will be published on the event’s Facebook page the same evening. Live results can be followed on-site via screens and online at https://live.seiklushunt.ee/
- Prizes can be picked up starting 1 September at Aparaaditehas, Biblioteek bookstore (entrances 1 & 9).
The race is part of the Aparaaditehas Festival program. See the full schedule here: https://www.facebook.com/events/1736325650322205
The race is organized in collaboration with Aparaaditehas and Seiklushunt.
