PARTY // Student Days: Talk To Me - Sudden Lights x Cruffin

On September 23, Latvian indie-rock band Sudden Lights is coming to Tartu to present their new single “Talk to Me” at Cruffin in Aparaaditehas.

Sudden Lights is one of Latvia’s best-known indie-rock bands. They represented Latvia at Eurovision in 2023, have collaborated with NOËP, and have been performing more and more outside Latvia as well.

But “Talk to Me” is more than just the title of a song. The single grew out of the idea that even though we’re constantly connected, starting a conversation with someone new can sometimes feel increasingly difficult. So for one day, Cruffin will become a place focused on conversation, meeting new people and simply being a little more present with one another.

At 10:00, Sudden Lights will talk a little about how the song came to life and perform the new single live. After that, Cruffin will turn into the “Talk to Me” café for the day, with different activities to help get conversations started, the Talk to Me Phone, a playlist specially curated by Sudden Lights for the event, and a few other small surprises.

At 15:30, the band will return to Cruffin to perform the new single live once again.
And by the way, we’re starting the day already at 8:30 with a morning run, beginning at Town Hall Square and finishing at Cruffin. You’ll find the separate morning run event on the Tartu Run Club page!
