Gallery night vol. 8

Kogo Gallery, in collaboration with Aparaaditehas (Widget Factory), is proud to present the 8th Gallery Night. Taking place on Friday, March 3rd, a number of galleries located in and around Aparaaditehas will be open to the public from 6pm to 11pm. We invite you to join us for an enjoyable evening filled with music, cocktails, and the opportunity to explore a diverse range of exhibitions.

The Gallery Night program is free for visitors.

EXHIBITIONS

> Ajuokse basement gallery / The group exhibition "WALLS 1" by GUTFACE, k2rte, Looja, Stina Leek, and Zahars Ze. Entrance from Kastani street, door number 2 on the basement floor, opening at 8 pm.

> tARTU gallery / Toomas Kuusing's exhibition "Ordinary Worlds" will be opened. The themes depicted in the artist's work stem from both urban and rural life, art, society, music, media, and everything around us. The works inspired by these themes tell stories and form a contemporary folklore where reality is interwoven with collective subconscious delusions and surrealism. Humor spices it all up, ranging from naive jokes to sharp grotesque, irony, and social criticism. The gallery's name will be changed during the gallery night, and the new name will be announced at the opening of Toomas Kuusing's exhibition. Entrance from Kastani street, meeting with the artist, and exhibition opening at 6 pm.

> tARTu shop / On the second floor, there is a selection of graphics, featuring Jüri Arrak, Kalli Kalde, Ove Maidla, Vitor Pascale, and others. Cocktails are available from the bar. Entrance from Kastani street.

> R gallery / Viive Väljaots's exhibition "Doll Room" is open. This is the artist's clay doll game, where the necessary sculptural figures and miniature ceramic faces create a beautiful and playful whole. Studio shop "Bears and Sons," entrance from Taskupark.

> Ag47 / It is the last day of Jo Nurme's exhibition "Particles and Waves" - cymatics in photographic art. The studio corner is also open, and those interested can have their portrait taken in 19th-century photo techniques. Entrance beside restaurant Kolm Tilli from Taskupark.

> Kogo gallery / The exhibition "Greetings and Whatever Helps Restore Our Crumbling Relationship" stems from the attempt to find a way in the world of meaning related to friendship, where personal experiences, cultural representations, ideals, and reality, as well as personal and social expectations of close relationships, collide. Entrance from Taskupark, it is possible to meet one of the artists of the exhibition, Diāna Tamane, from 7 pm.

> TYPA Center / The graphic exhibition "Photo/Print: The Role of Photography in 1970s Slovenian Printing and Graphic Design" is open. TYPA ESC volunteer Saule is present to introduce the exhibition more closely. Entrance from Kastani 48f, from Samelin's courtyard.

> Aparaaditehase balcony gallery / The graphic exhibition "Photo/Print: The Role of Photography in 1970s Slovenian Printing and Graphic Design" is open. Entrance from Taskupark, door number 7, on the second floor.

> Art & Tonic / Marko Mäetamme's exhibition "Art and Money" is open. Entrance from Kastani 48, from Samelin's courtyard.

> Tunnel Gallery / The traveling exhibition of Loomus NGO "Beautiful Animals Wear Fur, Not Beautiful People." Entrance from Taskupark.

> Made in Aparaaditehas and Puhvet / Talis Taime's photo exhibition "Exhibition" is open. Entrance from doors number 1 and 9.

> Redwall office gallery / at 6:00 pm, Kadi Mõttus' solo exhibition will open. Kadi's mixed-media drawings are characterized by absurdity, dreamlike qualities, strong contours, and bold use of color. / Entrance through door no. 2, 2nd floor.

> Redwall corridor gallery / on display is Markus Kasemaa's exhibition "Figures", which is an extensive series of monochromatic drawings that has been growing over the years and has already traveled to many galleries around the world. / Entrance through door no. 2, 2nd floor.

ADDITIONAL PROGRAMME:

> In and Around Art Tour / Art and factory tour with ESC volunteers Paola and Salome who work in Widget Factory will take the visitors to art galleries and other fascinating places. / The tour is in English with pre-registration – paola@kogogallery.ee, the tour starts in Taskupark at 19.30.

> Artist tour / Ukrainian artist Viktoria who works in Widget Factory takes visitors to her favorite places at the factory. / The tour is in Ukrainian, with pre-registration – kerli@kogogallery.ee, the tour starts in Taskupark at 20.

> Ajuokse basement store / The store has once again transformed into the city's most pleasant sticker workshop. / Entrance from Kastani street, door number 2, basement floor.

> Karud ja Pojad  / In the studio store, you can create unique badges throughout the evening with a guide, inspired by the R Gallery exhibition "Nukutuba" (The Doll Room). / Entrance from Taskupark.

> Cocktail bar NAPP / Offers fresh and flavorful cocktails to all art enthusiasts. / tARTu store, entrance from Kastani street.

> Biblioteek Book store X Stella Soomlais studio flash sale and workshop / 18:00-21:00 / Biblioteek bookstore, entrance from doors 1 and 9.
