CONCERT // Karl Tammaru's "baśjanss" album launch concert
Karl is a bass guitarist who, after years of bold experimentation, playing in bands, composing and arranging on his own, released his debut album in the spring, featuring solo songs performed exclusively on bass guitar. Now it's time to celebrate the release of this album with a modest solo concert.

The Tallinn-based bass guitarist, currently residing in Gothenburg, has in recent years mainly focused on playing his instrument in smaller ensembles and, more specifically, has discovered possibilities in the solo context, trying to focus on refining his sound language on an individualistic level. For Karl, the bass guitar has largely been the basis for understanding music on many different levels.
Karl is an active and versatile musician in both the Estonian jazz and alternative music scenes. His main projects include the bass guitar and vocal duo TamTam, the alt-rock band Vesi Päästab, the jazz-rock ensemble Allianss and the Nordic jazz Karl Tammaru Trio. He also expresses his artistic vision in the ensembles Kenors, Anna Lea Haamer Quintett, Johannes Laas 5tet, M-Group and collaborates with various Estonian artists.
