The Tõnu Tubli Trio is an improvisation-based musical journey blending jazz, hip-hop, dub, and various other styles. The trio predominantly performs original compositions, much of which is created directly on stage—listening to one another, sensing the moment, and developing an ongoing musical dialogue. No strict boundaries are set; the most vital elements are eye contact, listening, and a shared sense of rhythm.

The lineup features Tõnu Tubli, Marvin Mitt, and Indrek Mällo—longtime friends united by a passion for free and spontaneously created music. For them, this serves as a counterweight to everything pre-planned, emphasizing being in the present moment and embracing creative freedom.

A concert by the Tõnu Tubli Trio is a unique experience where music is born right before the listener's eyes. Drawing inspiration from diverse global rhythms and sounds, their improvisations, spontaneous compositions, and musical sketches create a vibrant, unpredictable whole. The trio shapes their sound collectively: Marvin Mitt on guitar occupying the higher frequencies, Indrek Mällo on bass in the deeper registers, and Tõnu Tubli on drums tying everything together into a single cohesive piece.
